LFPT is excited to welcome Mark and April VanderHulst to our team! Mark is a DPT and April is a PTA, both will bring valuable experience and new areas of expertise to our team.
Mark grew up on a dairy farm in New Mexico and then Idaho. He earned his Bachelor of Health Science degree from Boise State University followed by his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. He is brought to Lynden by his wife April, who grew up in Lynden.
His favorite hobbies are playing golf, basketball, volleyball, wake surfing, and snowboarding. He also enjoys actively caring for his 3 young kids with April and traveling to see family. Mark has earned a certification in LSVT BIG for treating individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
Mark comes from a line of dairy farmers and enjoys the farm but has a stronger passion for helping people return to the things they enjoy doing.
April grew up in Lynden playing soccer at Lynden Christian. After a knee injury in high school, she rehabbed with Lynden Family Physical Therapy. This revealed a path to fulfill her passion of helping others. She is excited to be back in Lynden helping others reach their goals and return to what they enjoy at Lynden Family PT.
April earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Pima Medical Institute in Mesa, Arizona. Then she worked at an orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy clinic in North Dakota as her husband, Mark, earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Outside of work April stays busy caring for her young family of three kids with Mark.
