Full Job Description

Medical group practice is looking for experienced Medical Assistant for immediate hire

Responsibilities:
*Report to clinical coordinator or practice administrator
*Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistant
*Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms
*Es**rt Patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart
*Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
*Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients medical records prior to their appointment
*Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
*Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physicians assistants
*Maintain all logs and required checks ( i.e, refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc)
*All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator
Knowledge: Medical Assistants must have knowledge of:
*Healthcare field and medical specialty
*Medical terminology
*Prior Authorizations
*Insurance verifications
*Grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Knowledge of EHRs, HIPAA / OSHA

Skills:
*Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
*Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
*The ability to perform phlebotomy, *
EKG, administer injections (medications and immunizations
Knowledge of medications, tests and procedures prior authorizations.

We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized medical receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical office and provide assistance to our patients and other visitors.
You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for our patients and their families.

Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities:
*Greet patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office
*Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
*Field all phone calls that arrive using our general office number
*Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address
*Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
*Register new patients and update necessary records
*Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them over to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
*Process patient payments in office, check in and check out
*Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
*Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, and welcoming
*Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner

Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
*High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a certificate program preferred
*1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
*Friendly and compassionate disposition
*Excellent organizational and time management skills
*Strong interpersonal communication skills
*Ability to work independently or as part of a team
*Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
*Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
