As you know all too well, Kentuckians are struggling with a severe lack of access to applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services, which particularly impacts families whose payor source is Medicaid or one of the Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). For ABA providers like us, our ability to sustain and expand our services depends upon a desperately needed increase in the rate the state reimburses us for our Medicaid-eligible services. The Kentucky legislature is deciding now whether or not to provide additional funding for ABA services, and they need to hear from your family! Here's how you can help:

1) Find your state House and Senate representative by entering your address here: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/findyourlegislator/findyourlegislator.html

2) Call 1-800-372-7181 and ask to leave this message with your Senate legislator’s office--"Senator [NAME], I am [YOUR NAME], your constituent. Our family depends on applied behavioral analysis for autism treatment. I urge you to tell Senate leadership that you support a 25% increase in the Medicaid Behavioral Health Fee Schedule in the state budget so that ABA services can reach more Kentuckians who need them."

3) Repeat with your House member, using the title "Representative [NAME]" and mentioning "House leadership."

Our clinic is now open!

In April 2018, Walden opened a clinic for individuals between the ages of 2 and 21. These services specialize in minimizing challenging behaviors so that the individual can be successful in school, home, work and/or the community. Skills are taught and strengthened through discrete trials and natural environment training with an emphasis on generalization and maintenance planning for the home and the community.

Through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Walden is committed to helping individuals and families that are struggling to function in their everyday lives will educate the community on the benefits of ABA and the scientific validity of the field.

Walden will impact each person they serve and will give them the tools that they need to succeed.
