Did you know Boston Children’s has an Orthopedic Urgent Clinic? If your child has an injury like a sprain, strain, or possible fracture, you can call one of our five locations to schedule a same-day appointment with a pediatric orthopedic specialist.

Our clinic is a great option for injuries that aren’t severe or don’t require emergency department care—such as when there isn’t an obvious break or extreme pain. Your child will receive expert evaluation, imaging if needed, and clear next steps for treatment and recovery.

Plus, our team will continue to support your child throughout the healing process, so you have consistent orthopedic care every step of the way.

Friends for 20 years and they didn't even know it. 👯

Grace and Amy are like most friends their age —they text, FaceTime, and provide each other constant support. The difference? Both were born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), and their parents connected while they received care through the Fetal Cardiology Program. Lincoln’s birthday, one year apart 🎂🎈

Throwback to last year, Lincoln was visited by when they learned that he loved fire engines and firefighters. At the time, he was staying at Boston Children’s Hospital waiting for a heart transplant—which meant he spent both his fourth and fifth birthdays at the hospital. A year later, he was able to celebrate his birthday at home for the first time in two years and has already recovered from a successful surgery.
