When you’re ready to throw in the towel… just remember that only makes more laundry. 🧺💗
Breastfeeding can feel like that some days.
Leaking. Spit up. Milk drips down your shirt. Burp cloths everywhere. You finally change… and someone spits up again.
It’s a lot.
And underneath the laundry pile is usually something else:
Exhaustion.
Hormones.
Second guessing yourself.
Wondering if this is worth it.
Here’s what I want you to know: having a “this is too much” moment doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human. Feeding a baby with your body (or even navigating pumping, combo feeding, or all the decisions around it) is a full-time emotional and physical job.
Before you quit on your hardest day, pause.
Eat something.
Drink water.
Hand the baby to someone safe if you can.
Text a friend who gets it.
Sometimes we don’t need to quit. We just need support.
And if after support, education, and a deep breath you decide something needs to change? That’s not failure either. That’s parenting with intention.
Don’t give up on a hard day. Pivot on your own terms. 💕
If you need help or support, I’m here for you with virtual and in person support. LALactation.com or link in bio to book.
