October 14, 2025 - 4:50 AM – [CSO-003]
Combined Sewer Overflow – Continuation Notification
Please be advised that Combined Sewer Overflows have occurred from the Lynn Water & Sewer Commission combined sewer system into surface waters of the The Saugus River and Lynn Harbor. As of 4:50 AM, October 14, 2025 , the CSO discharge is ongoing. The overflow consists, or likely consists, of untreated or partially treated sewage and waste. Avoid contact with these water bodies for 48 hours after the discharge or overflow ceases due to increased health risks from bacteria and other pollutants.

Please visit our website https://www.lynnwatersewer.org/ for more information on whether specific resource areas, such as bathing or beaches, are affected. The website also includes a real time interactive map that provides the status for each CSO.
