In a chat this morning with a new friend the problem of falling asleep came up. This is a common concern, since our body maintains itself during REM sleep (deep sleep). Here's the advice I provided, which I hope is helpful to you:
There can be many reasons for having trouble falling to sleep. Yoga should be helpful training one's mind and body, and many people also have insufficient magnesium. Our body does not make magnesium, so we have to make sure we have plenty in the foods we eat, and/or take magnesium as a nutritional supplement. We all also lack sufficient vitamin D, especially during winter months, or because we're always inside. The primary source for Vitamin D is sunlight absorbed through the skin (our largest organ). Making rich vegetable soup for Veteran's Day 2024.
Chopped sweet potato, carrots, Navy beans, Collard Greens, baby white and red potatoes, Fusilli, black pepper, sea salt, onion powder, garlic powder. Cooking on crockpot high all day. Should be ready by dinner time.
