We couldn’t be prouder of Emma, one of our amazing vision therapy graduates! 🌟 Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside her as she discovered her strengths, grew in confidence, and unlocked her true potential.
Emma has soared both in and out of the classroom—earning top honors in her graduating class, competing at state in multiple sports, leading community service efforts, and even finding her passion for the sciences as she heads toward her dream of becoming a naturopathic doctor. 💙
What inspires us most is not just Emma’s accomplishments, but the way she’s embraced her unique journey with courage, hard work, and heart. Watching her grow into a confident young woman who does things her way has been a joy and an honor.

Happy 6 Months! 🎉 If you haven’t been by the office recently, you may not yet know that Dr. Tina Schiller and Dr. Katie Hash, two of our previous doctors, have returned as the new owners of Alderwood Vision Therapy.

Our team is so excited for Dr. Torgerson as she transitions to owner emeritus status, and we are grateful for the profound impact she has had on countless families in our community.

We are all excited to continue on the 40+ years of personalized, heart-centered, developmental vision care and vision therapy for those of all abilities alongside Dr. Tina and Dr. Katie.

Thank you to our amazing community for your support during this transition. We can’t wait for what’s ahead, and we look forward to SEEing 👀 you soon!

August is Children’s Vision and Learning Month—a time to celebrate the powerful connection between how we see and how we learn. To help spread the word, we’re inviting young artists to show the world how vision makes learning possible! This year’s theme is “See Smart. Be Smart!”, and we’re calling on kids ages 5–12 to create a one-of-a-kind drawing that shows how vision helps them learn, play, and grow.
