We couldn’t be prouder of Emma, one of our amazing vision therapy graduates! 🌟 Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside her as she discovered her strengths, grew in confidence, and unlocked her true potential.
Emma has soared both in and out of the classroom—earning top honors in her graduating class, competing at state in multiple sports, leading community service efforts, and even finding her passion for the sciences as she heads toward her dream of becoming a naturopathic doctor. 💙
What inspires us most is not just Emma’s accomplishments, but the way she’s embraced her unique journey with courage, hard work, and heart. Watching her grow into a confident young woman who does things her way has been a joy and an honor.

Before starting Vision Therapy at Alderwood Vision Therapy & Development, Edna struggled with eye fatigue, skipped lines while reading, and had difficulty with balance and depth perception.

Now? She’s THRIVING! 🎉
💪 Her gymnastic skills improved
📖 She reads above grade level
🧠 Learning is easier and more fun!

Our former vision therapy superstar Siya wrote a book — and we now have a signed copy of “Sam’s Big Summer Trip” available to read in our reception area! ✨

We’re so proud of Siya and her amazing progress. She shared,

Siya worked hard, had fun, and no longer sees double! Her improved eye-brain coordination is a big part of her journey — and now she’s an author too! 🧠📖👏

August is Children’s Vision and Learning Month—a time to celebrate the powerful connection between how we see and how we learn. To help spread the word, we’re inviting young artists to show the world how vision makes learning possible! This year’s theme is “See Smart. Be Smart!”, and we’re calling on kids ages 5–12 to create a one-of-a-kind drawing that shows how vision helps them learn, play, and grow.

After 9 years of being a rock in our office, she’s headed off on a new adventure with her husband Chad to Eastern Washington! 🏡 📦

Though we’ll miss her presence in person, Rachel isn’t going far — she’ll still be part of our team working remotely and behind-the-scenes, answering your calls with her familiar warmth and know-how. 💻📞

In this season of graduation, we wanted to shout out our amazing vision therapist, Michelle, for graduating with honors from BYU Idaho with a dual bachelors and associate degree in Marriage and Family Studies and General Studies (plus multiple related certificates!) 🥳 🎉 📚

This was 9 years in the making while also being a full-time vision therapist, mom and grandma and truly highlights both her determination and love of learning.
