Our residents showed off some serious skill today—one even confessed she’d never played beer pong before… she said her drinks were of a “higher class” than that. 🍷✨

Born in Rio de Janeiro, met her husband in Angola, welcomed a child in Johannesburg, and lived through experiences most of us can only imagine.

I know you all get to see a lot of my daughter around here, but I can’t help it. She loves her senior friends!

One of the greatest blessings in my life and this career is knowing my daughter is growing up with senior friends who love her as much as she loves them❤️

Eleanor is absolutely convinced she’s a fast learner — after teaching her how to play “the only song she knows,” Chopsticks, she’s decided we now need a piano teacher. 🎹😂

Gracelynn hasn’t quit talking about playing the recorder for the entire dining room, like it was her own little concert. 🎶 Hanging above her bed today, nestled among all her dream catchers, is a beaded Santa — a handmade gift from one of our previous residents. She once proudly carried on her backpack year-round.

She still remembers another senior friend and her sweet dog, Bitsy… even if I’ve lost track of how many Bitsys there have been over the years. 🐾

These are the kind of memories that shape a childhood — filled with wisdom, laughter, music, and unconditional love. I’m so grateful my kids get to grow up knowing that seniors aren’t just neighbors… they’re family. 💛

✨ Family Night Bingo Fun! ✨

At Country Living of Lyons, we believe there’s always a reason to come together! 🧡 Every month, we’ll be looking for any excuse to gather, laugh, and make memories — and for August, Family Night Bingo did just that!

The room was full of smiles, friendly competition, and a few lucky winners shouting “BINGO!” 🥳 It’s these simple, joy-filled moments that remind us why we cherish our residents, families, and community so much.

🌿 Feeling Blessed Beyond Measure 🌿

Some days we’re reminded just how lucky we are to be surrounded by the most selfless, caring, and generous individuals. 💛

From our incredible kitchen staff who continue to feed a growing number of seniors, to our amazing nurse who spent 10 hours on a field trip with a resident and her family to ease their fears, families who go above and beyond with their generosity and free-will donations, management showing up on holidays to celebrate with our residents— The list is endless. We are truly humbled.

At Country Living of Lyons, we believe community is everything — and ours continues to show up in ways that leave us in awe. Thank you for making this little corner of the world so full of love, compassion, and kindness. 🧡

Country Living of Lyons Announces Partnership with South Central Kansas Area on Aging to Provide Senior Meals in Lyons and Chase

Lyons, KS – Country Living of Lyons is proud to announce a new partnership with South Central Kansas Area on Aging to expand meal services for seniors in our region. Beginning Monday, August 18th, nutritious meals will be provided to older adults in both Lyons and Chase, ensuring greater access to healthy, reliable food options.

“At Country Living of Lyons, we believe that when a need is identified in our community, it is our responsibility to be part of the solution,” said Ashley Rodgers, Executive Director of Country Living of Lyons. “Through this collaboration, we are able to extend our mission of caring for seniors beyond our walls and into the communities we serve.”

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting the health, independence, and dignity of older adults. By joining resources, Country Living of Lyons and South Central Kansas Area on Aging are ensuring that seniors in Central Kansas have the support they need to thrive.
