I'm Shirly a mom to two beautiful children and a chicken, yes a pet chicken. Chickens are just as needy when they are raised to think . About three years ago I fell ill. I lost a great job that I truly loved. Doctors couldn't figure out out what was wrong with me, but they were all too happy to have me try different medications. Each making me worse or giving me a new issue to deal with. I was in pain, depressed, and stuck in my bedroom. I did my research and discovered my true diagnosis on my own, and found a nurse practitioner who was willing to help me find a different method. I was suffering from systemic candidasis. My lifestyle was go to work, eat sugar and processed fast food, come home and cook quick processed foods, get far too little sleep and do it again. I was at the time, a programs coordinator for elderly residents in an assisted living community I was teaching elderly residents how to properly do exercises and helping serve them healthy foods, but forgot to practice what I preached. my horrible lifestyle showed me just how sick not living well can make you. It cost me that job. I was ill for a year. On the bright side it opened up a lot of time for research and lifestyle changes. Studying yoga and meditation and learning healthy habits. To be honest yoga, essential oils, meditation, and coconut oil saved my life, and sanity. Falling ill when I thought that I had my direction all planned, turned my world upside down- also happened to be an amazing blessing in disguise. Like most people I had been focusing so much of my time on others, wellness; family, work, fiancee, friends, not enough time in a day; no one ever taught me to invest in myself and my wellness. I was inspired after meeting with my life coach one day to help others who were like me. People who felt like they couldn't do those yoga poses and quiet their mind enough for meditation. People who feel uncomfortable in the class with a bunch of people. People who are too anxious to go to a gym. People who would thrive and do well with personal one on one attention and reassurance that they could indeed do those poses and clear that mind. People who just need a little guidance (that takes years of research). Who has time for that? I will develop a program just for you and I'll even come to you, personally or through the internet. No going to the gym, no feeling left behind, no feeling that you can't stick with the program. I'll be happy to guide you to being a happier, healthier you!
