Don't forget, tonight in Calais👇

August is overdose awareness month and tomorrow is International Overdose Awareness Day 💜

It's a time to honor, remember and take action.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

1 life is lost every 5 minutes to overdose.

Overdose can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, or background.

Most overdose deaths are preventable.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Carry Narcan (naloxone - it saves lives and we have it if you want some)

Don't Use Alone - support safe use( you can message me anytime)

Test Your Supply - fentanyl test strips detect deadly contamination( we have those available at work)

Share Harm Reduction Resources in your community (did you know we work with MAP to provide those supports right in Calais and surrounding towns)

Stop by the Downeast Recovery Support Center at 11 Free St anytime from 11-4 today and tomorrow (8/4 - 8/5). We do have some paper bags available but if you have your own to bring, even better!

Join us this Thursday, July 31st at 4:30pm on 311 Main St in Calais! We will be painting this beauty. We welcome all ages and skill levels. As always this is a free group, bring a snack to share if you choose. We hope to see you there!
