🌿🍅 **Blessings Keep Growing at the Bourke St. Community Garden!** 🍅🌿

It’s October 14th, and we’re still amazed by the abundant harvest coming from our garden! We have plenty of beautiful plum tomatoes, sweet cherry tomatoes, spicy jalapeño peppers, and fresh green beans still growing strong. 🌶️🍅🥒

Take a look at this bountiful produce recently harvested — all of which will be shared with our local emergency food pantry. Truly, **God is so good!** 🙌💚

If you have a moment, please stop by the Bourke St. Community Garden in downtown Macon and see the garden’s ongoing gifts for yourself. The carrots will be ready soon, and the melons are almost ripe — more deliciousness to come! 🥕🍈🌱

And don’t forget to **mark your calendars for Saturday, October 25th** to join us at the **2nd Macon Area Farmers’ Market** for even more fresh produce, local goods, and support our area youth, plus community fun! 🛒🎉

🎉🌽 THANK YOU to our AMAZING Vendors & Shoppers! 🌽🎉

What a BEAUTIFUL day it was this past Saturday at the 1st Macon Area Farmers’ Market — and what a GREAT turnout! 💚🌞 Foot traffic was hopping all around downtown Macon, and the energy was absolutely electric! ⚡️

We had well over 100 people come through the garden, with many picking fresh tomatoes 🍅, peppers 🌶️, green beans 🥒, and even some coxcomb 🌺 & zinnia 🌸 flowers to dry seeds for next season’s gardens! 🌱🌼

A HUGE shout-out to our wonderful vendors who made this event possible:
🥖Boling Bakehouse LLC — delicious sourdough breads & muffins, seasonings & simmer pot mixes, candied pecans & granola, plus small-batch jams & pancake mix
🥩Spencer's Puzzleridge Farms — farm-fresh ground beef
🎃Hogsett's Pumpkins — variety of pumpkins & gourds, and MANY many pumpkins
🎨4-H Participant, Willard — handmade posters & decorated pumpkins
🍅Bob's Garden — homegrown tomatoes, peppers, onions, cucumbers, zucchini & winter squash, live houseplants, and much, much more
🛁Prim Goods — premium handcrafted bath & body products
🌽Local grower & entrepreneur, Bode — homegrown cornstalk bundled for fall decor
🌼 MU Extension, Macon County — Indian flour corn, cone flowers, and free chilled apple cider!

🙌🌻The participation from our growers, vendors, youth entrepreneurs, and shoppers blew us away!

✨👏Every participant from this first market has already given their verbal commitment to return for our 2nd Farmers’ Market on Saturday, October 25th, 10 AM – 2 PM — and we already have 3 NEW vendors signed up and even more 4-H youth entrepreneurs joining the fun in October!

🌿 🍅🌿 Fresh Tomato Alert! 🌿🍅🌿

This morning, we harvested a colorful variety of tomatoes from the Bourke St. Community Garden (and a fee jalapeños) and delivered them straight to our local Emergency Food Pantry to help nourish neighbors in need. ❤️🍅

🥗 If you’re looking to add some fresh, homegrown flavor to your meals, feel free to stop by the garden and help yourself! Just remember to take only what you need so there’s plenty to share. 🌱

📢 Announcement: Our mini Farmers Market, originally planned for this Saturday, has been postponed until sometime in late September. We’re using this extra time to make the event even better and can’t wait to share all the details soon!Plus, we have plans for other fun events coming up over the next few months — so keep an eye out for exciting announcements! 🎉🛒

🌞🌧️ The good Lord has truly blessed our Bourke St. Community Garden with just the right mix of sunshine, heat, and rain lately — and it’s working wonders! Our jalapeños and tomatoes are flourishing like never before. 🌶️🍅

And guess what? Our sweet corn is starting to show tassels and little ears forming! While the concrete limits how deep the roots can grow, those stalks are still putting out some mini, mighty tasty ears of corn. 🌽💪

So keep an eye on the garden — there’s still hope for a little sweet corn harvest to share! Thanks for growing with us and enjoying every bit of this bounty. 🌿💚

🌿🍅 The Bourke St. Community Garden in downtown Macon is thriving and spreading the love! 🌱🥬

Today, we harvested bunches of fresh lettuce, broccoli, squash, and even a few tomatoes & jalapeños 🌶️🍅 — all delivered to our local Emergency Food Pantry to help nourish neighbors in need.

Plus, we had some wonderful passersby stop in and pick their own broccoli right from the garden! We always love seeing community members enjoy the fruits (and veggies!) of our labor. 🥦💚

If you swing by, please feel free to harvest a little for yourself — just remember to take only what you need so the garden can bless as many people as possible. Let’s keep growing together! 🌻🌿

🥬Calling All Home Cooks & Herb Lovers!🌿

The downtown Bourke St. Community Garden is overflowing with fresh lettuce 🥬 , mint, and dill—just in time for your weekend salads, sandwiches, or summer recipes! 🥗✨

If you need a handful for your favorite dish, stop by and snip some straight from the garden. And keep your eyes peeled… there might even be a few sweet strawberries hiding among the leaves! 🍓😉

We ask that everyone harvest only what they need, so the bounty can be shared and enjoyed by as many neighbors as possible. 💚

Today we harvested a gorgeous mix of lettuces, coriander/cilantro, mint, and dill—all picked fresh and delivered straight to the Emergency Food Pantry to help nourish our neighbors. 🥗🪴💚
