Primary Pediatrics Macon office is open for regular Business hours 8:30AM-5:00PM

Primary Pediatrics After Hours Macon office is open from 5:00PM-11:00PM Monday Through Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 9AM-10PM. Our Warner Robins location is open for regular Business hours Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM and After Hours from 5PM-11PM. The Forsyth office is open for regular business hours Monday-Thursday 8:30AM-5PM and After Hours from 5PM-9PM. Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours are from 10AM-6PM.

September is National Baby Safety Month and a great time to double-check your baby's sleep setup! 🍼💤 Creating a safe sleep space is one of the most important ways to protect your little one while they rest.

Here are a few expert-backed tips for safer sleep:

🛏️ Always place your baby on their back for every nap and bedtime. This is the safest position for reducing the risk of SIDS.

🧸 Keep the crib clear of pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, and bumper pads. A firm, flat mattress with a fitted sheet is all they need.

👶 Use a crib, bassinet, or play yard with a tight-fitting mattress. Avoid inclined sleepers or anything soft.

🛌 Room share, but do not bed share. Keeping baby in your room for at least the first 6 months can reduce sleep-related risks.

😴 Offering a pacifier at naps and bedtime may also help lower the risk of SIDS, once breastfeeding is well established.

Your child’s car seat is one of the most important ways to keep them safe every day. September is National Baby Safety Month, and it's the perfect time to check that your setup is secure and up to date. 🚗🍼

Here are a few car seat safety tips to keep in mind:
👶 Keep your child rear-facing as long as possible, at least until age two or until they reach their seat’s height or weight limit
✋ The seat should not move more than one inch from side to side or front to back when pulled at the belt path
🎯 Harness straps should lie flat and snug, with no slack you can pinch at the shoulder
📍 Chest clip should be at armpit level, across the center of your child’s chest
🧥 Avoid bulky coats or clothing under the harness—add a blanket over the straps if needed
📝 Register your car seat with the manufacturer to receive any important safety recalls or updates

Not sure if your seat is installed correctly? Many local fire departments and safety organizations offer free car seat safety checks. A few minutes of extra care can help protect your child every time you’re on the road 💙
