***UPDATE: WE WILL OPEN ON THURSDAY AT 12:00. Thank you!

Wednesday weather update: Due to current road conditions, we will now be closed ALL day and not open at 1:00 as previously communicated. Thank you for understanding as we have staff unable to get to the office. We are monitoring all web messages, voice mails, and emails all day today as several will be working remote.

We will now be open all day Friday to accommodate appointments that need rescheduled.

Happy Thanksgiving! We will open back on Monday, Dec 2. Please use your patient portal and we will do our best to answer these messages over the next few days. If you do not know your log in information, you should still be able to access your portal by using the link on our website under the patient log in tab. The easiest way is to use the mobile access. Our practice access code is located on the bottom of the log in page or you can copy and paste these letters: Our practice code is IEGGAA. Woods Medical continues to grow and would also like to announce Erica Girardeau, AGACNP-BC, to our team! Erica has previously worked in cardiology and more recently focusing her patient care with adult gerontology! She has her nurse practitioner license in Adult Gerontology Acute Adult Care and brings a wealth of experience with senior adults with chronic diseases. Erica will begin seeing patients August 5, M-F. You may call our office at 478-755-0020 to start scheduling with Erica.

Woods Medical is thrilled to welcome Kristen Vaughn, FNP, to the team as a highly experienced and certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kristen brings extensive expertise in internal medicine and women’s health to our practice. She is a proud “triple Samford bulldog,” having earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2014), Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner (2018), and Doctor of Nursing Practice with an Educator Concentration (2023) from Samford University.
Kristen is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare with a focus on addressing the “root cause” of health issues to promote overall wellness and vitality. With over five years of experience in women’s health, she is particularly passionate about empowering women across all stages of life to make lifestyle changes that foster long-term health and well-being.
A native of Macon and a graduate of Covenant Academy, Kristen and her husband are active members of North Macon Presbyterian Church. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and embracing her love for plants as an aspiring “crazy plant lady.”

Woods Medical would like to give a shout out to Zebulon Pharmacy. They are locally owned! The pharmacist is so kind and professional. BONUS: they are open later than most pharmacies and are open on the weekend Saturday and Sunday til 9!!
