I graduated from Jones County High School in 1987. I moved to Winder, GA (near Athens) years and years ago. I have one daughter, Samantha. I moved back to Gray ten years ago and am really excited having a Massage Therapy business in my hometown. Plans are in the works for Middle Georgia School of Massage to open January, 2022. I became a massage therapist almost 17 years ago because I was looking
for a natural way to treat some muscular problems that I was having. Being an enthusiast of karate and horseback riding had left me feeling years older than I actually was. I didn’t want to take pain killers or muscle relaxers prescribed by doctors and sought a homeopathic remedy. I found the perfect treatment through massage therapy. Once I fixed my problems I decided that I wanted to help other people with their muscular problems. I finished massage school and went to work for several different Chiropractors. At each place that I have worked, I have learned new techniques for medical massage, as well as advanced stretching and relaxation techniques. I have taken many continuing education classes and obtained a diploma denoting that I have successfully completed all training necessary to be designated a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP). I went back to college years ago at Athens Technical College and at North Georgia State University in order to study advanced Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry and Biology classes. I graduated from Middle Georgia State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Additionally, I recently made plans to teach a couple of continuing education classes in various subject matters, such as Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage and Sports Massage. My long term goal has always been to open a School of Massage that focuses on medical massage modalities. This dream is becoming a reality and the first classes for Middle Georgia School of Massage should begin January, 2022. By working directly with Chiropractors, Doctors and Physical Therapists I intend to create a program that will develop highly marketable skills for graduates. I believe that massage therapy is an invaluable resource for specific soft tissue injury correction and as more people become educated regarding the benefits of legitimate massage the field will grow and become respected. I am always willing to come to groups and give free talks and mini-seminars about the benefits of massage and the different types of massage that are available. If you would like for me to come and talk with your group, please give me a call anytime and we can make arrangements. I look forward to this next chapter in my career and meeting new friends, as well as, becoming reacquainted with old ones! Sincerely,
Sandy Chase
