Hospice Care Options

Hospice Care Options We provide compassionate care to the terminally ill patient, allowing death with peace and dignity.

“Service to our neighbors in need”

Those simple few words uttered by Georgia pharmacist, Freddie Dwozan, has been the guiding credo of the organization since the start of the original hospice agency in 1997. Each of our team members holds our founding theme of service to others above self as the most fundamental principal in their daily activities. Our focus is to help our patients and families d

uring this difficult time with the talents and skills we possess. We place all our efforts
here in the Georgia communities in which we each live and work, to serve our neighbors and fellow Georgians. We humbly respect the stewardship responsibility we have in this endeavor. Many hospice agencies exist, but Hospice Care Options is unique. It is one of a handful of family owned agencies in the state. All decisions are made locally at the agency level, not in a corporate office in another state. The company operates in 41 Georgia counties with agencies located in Eastman, Macon, Warner Robins, Milledgeville, and Ocilla. They have a large reach, with the most caring and skillful staff found anywhere. Hospice Care Options is your best choice to provide care and comfort when faced with a life limiting illness.

School is about to begin, and now's the perfect time to refresh on a few simple safety tips to keep kids and our communities safe and healthy.

➡️ Watch for walkers. Be alert in school zones and neighborhoods during pick-up and drop-off times.
➡️ Know the bus rules. Teach children to stand back from the curb and wait until the bus comes to a full stop.
➡️ Follow the signals. Remind kids to look both ways before crossing streets and obey crossing guards.
➡️ Stay hydrated and rested. A full water bottle and a good night’s sleep go a long way in keeping kids focused and safe.
➡️ Backpack check. Make sure backpacks are packed light and worn with both straps to prevent injury.

Wishing all students, families, and teachers a safe, healthy, and successful school year!

This year, our Macon-area Camp Good Grief was held in Warner Robins, where children and teens found “Space to Feel, Place to Heal.”

Camp Good Grief is a special program sponsored by our Hospice Foundation, designed to help young people work through grief in a safe, caring, and understanding environment. Through art, activities, sharing, and reflection, campers find comfort, support, and hope for the journey ahead.

We want to share our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this year’s camp possible. Your generosity and support truly make a difference:

Linus Project – for the beautiful, handmade blankets for each camper
Black Springs Baptist Church – for donating all art supplies and snacks
My Father’s Place – for the delicious pizza on our last day
Hardwick Baptist – for providing pillows for every child
First Baptist Church – for donating a meal
Four Winds Apostolic Church – for graciously hosting camp
WDEN / Laura Starling – for helping us share our mission with the community

We’re thrilled to announce that our Douglas office is the winner of our recent Sales Blitz Competition!

This friendly competition brought our marketing team together with staff from across our offices to visit community partners and referral sources. It was a wonderful way to share our mission of providing compassionate, dignified end-of-life care, while building stronger connections with those who help us serve patients and families.

We’re so proud of all our teams for their energy, teamwork, and dedication to spreading awareness about hospice care options in our communities. Special congratulations to Douglas for going above and beyond!
