Our Story

Pine Pointe Hospice Navicent Health, a service of Medical Center Navicent Health, opened in 1982. We began offering hospice services before funding sources were available for hospice, hence our entire staff was volunteer. We still have a large contingent of wonderful volunteers who give of their time and talent to help our patients and families. Pine Pointe Hospice Navicent Health was, and remains, the first and only not-for profit hospice based in Macon/Bibb County. Pine Pointe's accomplished team of professionals including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, bereavement staff, nursing assistants and volunteers provide home care and inpatient care services under the direction of a physician. Pine Pointe serves Bibb, Baldwin, Bleckley, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Taylor, Twiggs, Upson, Wilkinson, and portions of Lamar Counties.
