A sweet afternoon spent painting, connecting, and creating together 💐🎨

Our Paint & Picnic with Mom was all about slowing down and making space for connection.

We were so excited to partner with our Gardening Club, who helped give new life to respiratory test cans by transforming them into planters 🌱 Each family decorated their own, turning something once clinical into something beautiful and meaningful.

Moments like these remind us that healing and connection can grow in the most unexpected ways 💜

💼💜 Happy Administrative Professionals Day 💜💼

Behind every smooth clinic day is a team making it happen. Today we’re celebrating the incredible support behind the scenes in our Neurology Clinic 💜

Holly, our Clinic Lead, shared:
“My favorite part of the job is being able to make a difference behind the scenes… it’s incredibly rewarding to know my efforts help families feel supported and create a smoother experience for both patients and staff.”
“What I enjoy most is seeing the smiles and happy faces—it’s a reminder that the work we do truly matters.”

Deissy one of our Ambuladded:

“I focus on staying calm under pressure and making sure others feel supported. When people feel taken care of, everything runs smoother.”
“Staying organized and having open, honest communication helps keep everyone on the same page and makes the day more manageable.”

Today we celebrate the people who keep everything moving, support our teams, and create a better experience for every family we serve. We appreciate you so much 💜

Today for Earth Day, we’re highlighting The Brain and Climate Change, a powerful documentary created in collaboration with FutureNeuro Research Ireland Centre, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the ILAE - International League Against Epilepsy Climate Change Commission, that shows how our changing climate is already impacting brain health. From higher seizure risks during heat waves to the growing challenges faced by people with neurological conditions, the film blends science with real stories to show why caring for the planet also means caring for our brains.

Earth Day, we are reminded that our environment plays a bigger role in our health than we often realize 💜🌎

Extreme heat, poor air quality, and even stress can impact seizure control, especially for those living with epilepsy.

Caring for our planet means caring for our community. Small, mindful choices can make a difference for both 🌱

The outside doesn’t always reflect the inside.

At our family connect group, through our mask activity, families explored emotions, strengths, and challenges that aren’t always visible…especially when living with epilepsy.

Creating space for expression, connection, and understanding is at the heart of what we do. 💜

💜 Neurodiagnostic Testing Week 💜🧠

For many families, the journey to an epilepsy diagnosis can feel uncertain, overwhelming, and full of questions.

Neurodiagnostic testing helps bring clarity.

Through EEG, our team safely monitors brain activity, helping detect seizures, understand seizure types, and guide the most accurate diagnosis and treatment. Getting that diagnosis right matters. It impacts medications, safety planning, and next steps in care.

As the only Level 4 Epilepsy Center in the Central Valley, our team plays a critical role in supporting families every step of the way.
What makes this work so meaningful is the people behind it.

For Bill, it starts with connection:
“Reading the room, using humor, and being present helps children and families feel at ease.”

For Valerie, it is about trust:
“Getting to know patients while easing fear and anxiety is incredibly fulfilling.”

Jennifer reminds us how important support is:
“Helping patients and families feel understood, especially during stressful moments.”

Sally brings a family centered approach:
“I treat patients like my own children and encourage parents to be part of their experience.”

Michelle highlights the impact:
“Neurotesting provides insight into brain function and helps guide treatment decisions.”

As Tresha shares:
“We provide high quality EEGs and play a vital role in diagnosing neurological disorders.”

And Bea says it best:
“We always have each other’s backs and that is what makes this work meaningful.”

Every EEG, every interaction, every moment of reassurance contributes to something bigger.Answers, understanding, and a path forward.

💜 So proud of this team.

📞 This National Telecommunications Week, we recognize the critical role of 911 dispatchers during emergencies. Knowing when to call—and having a Seizure Action Plan in place—helps families act quickly, confidently, and safely when a seizure occurs.

Preparation saves lives. 💜
