                                            Post- gallbladder removal "issues"?
Check out my friend Kodie's story! I'm sure many of you can relate!!
"It has been 4 years since I had my gallbladder removed and while, at this point in my life, I have never felt better....that wasn't always the case. I remember showing up to my 6 week post op checkup with my surgeon miserable, unable to eat without running to the loo. I just knew something was very wrong, besides how awful I felt, this wasn't normal p**p, it was yellow, it burned, my stomach hurt after I ate, no matter what it was. Sometimes I would get a single bite of my dinner and be running dead sprint for the toilet. I was so afraid that I would have to go that I would try not to eat at all, which only made matters worse when I did eat. It was a nightmare. I explained all of this to the doctor excitedly waiting for an answer, a procedure or medication to fix me...it didn't come. Instead, he said, "Oh, this is very common post cholecystectomy, you are one of the unlucky ones" What?!?! Give me my diseased gallbladder back, I can't live like this!!! Leaving with my diagnosis, my recommendation to eat small meals or snacks every couple of hours, and the statement that I can take up to 16 over the counter anti diarrhea pills a day to help control my symptoms....I left defeated. This happens to people and they fail to mention it? What?! Not cool.
Bile salt diarrhea is a common issue after the procedure. Your Gallbladders job is to store bile. Without it, bile simply dumps into your intestine causing a laxative effect, pretty sweet huh? Are you one of the unlucky ones like me that have this? People don't talk about this so maybe you are, for the first time, realizing you're not alone, you're welcome...through my mission with Plexus to help people get healthy and my overzealous unapologetic need to ask people about their p**p (hey, it's important), I have found MANY who have this same problem. Maybe I had a crummy surgeon who didn't offer good advice but maybe you did to so I have great news...after using Plexus my symptoms went away about 90%, there are times when I skip multiple meals that I will have some issues but this is not often.
Why? How? Probiotics. Not just any though. The best probiotics for bile salt diarrhea are the strains that are bile acid resistant. Hello Bifodobacterium longum, one of the multiple strains of incredible necessary good bacteria for proper gut health and balance in our Probio5. Silica or Silicone Dioxide has also been found to be bile binding, found in Plexus Slim. Oh, the beloved Tri-plex combo has done it again and rocked my world.
If this sounds familiar, there is hope!!! I found something that worked for me and I want to share it with you 🙂 you don't have to go another day afraid that you won't be able to find a bathroom or take long trips in the car or be afraid to eat. I use the Tri-plex combo (Slim, Probio5, and Bioclease) every day and it has totally changed my life."
