Can you see it? Dense tissue can obscure small masses on mammogram. Ultrasound can be used to help find these areas. Did you know? Studies show that combining mammography and ultrasound provides the highest accuracy and is the most effective screening method for women with dense breasts.
This combination approach has been shown to increase the number of cancers detected while also lowering the rate of false positives that require further investigation compared to using only mammography.
