Here's another Staff Spotlight! This time, we are putting the Spotlight on Miss Heather, the office's "Systemizer" who helps all of us to stay efficient, organized, and to be the best therapists we can be. Here is a little bit more about Miss Heather:
Rooted in a background as a special education teacher and administrator, Heather's journey into social work was a natural evolution of her lifelong passion for advocacy and human connection — bringing over twenty-five years of experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and individuals across Georgia to her work at Madison Family Counseling. Heather believes every client holds the strengths needed to grow and heal, and she is committed to creating a safe, open space where those strengths are recognized, built upon, and transformed into real, lasting change. Drawing on a rich blend of evidence-based approaches — including CBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, and motivational strategies — Heather meets each person exactly where they are, walking alongside them as a fellow lifelong learner on a shared journey toward their goals.
