We were recently asked if we had an Amazon wish list. And, yes, we do! We may not be a non-profit but our ministry offers every individual or family the option of a sliding fee scale as our mission is to ensure everyone has access to affordable Mental Health care. We do not turn anyone away from services. Thanks for considering us this holiday season!

Just wanted to let you all know about a new group for moms of young children and school aged children (0 to 18!), we're starting this Wednesday the 12th 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Parenting can be stressful, we believe at Madison Family Counseling it takes a village! We're starting The Joy Group, to remember there is Joy in the fellowship, and in the long days, and to help give skills on having joy-filled relationships.

This is lead by myself (Janeah Weaver), a play therapist, and Allison Pugmire, a Christian Counselor, but we're also just moms raising our kids! We'll first meet in the Madison Family Counseling office, 1040 Barclay Drive (by the Health Department). Children can come but childcare isn't provided (yet) so they'll be right in the meeting with us. We may move over to a larger community building once we know how many people are interested and coming consistently!

Happy Mother's Day to the many moms and mom figures we interact with each day! We recognize the biological moms, foster moms, adoptive moms, grandmothers and others that make the sacrifices every day!

We've also enjoyed having a special fur mom raising her tribe in our office. Clients have had special opportunities to learn the different roles moms and children have, personality differences, empathy, self-control and so much more. Thank you to the Humane Society for helping with this special experience (kittens will be adoptable through them in a few weeks when old enough)!

We're excited to announce Mollie Cole is joining our team! As a former school counselor, Mollie specializes in counseling teens and young adults in working with them to improve their mental health and wellness. She has extensive experience in successfully assisting clients in reaching their counseling goals for issues dealing with anxiety, depression, self-harm, grief, family stressors, self-esteem, emotional regulation, peer conflict, and a variety of other issues. Mollie uses a range of therapeutic approaches based on the individual needs of each client, and her counseling style involves meeting her clients where they are and helping them learn the skills that they need to be successful. What Mollie loves most about counseling is the opportunity to work with clients in helping them become the best version of themselves through listening, providing support, and providing a safe, non-judgmental space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Mollie has a B.S.Ed. from the University of Georgia in Health Promotion & Behavior and an M.Ed. in School Counseling. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, fitness, and traveling.

Such a blessing for Madison Family Counseling to have Allison join our team!

Allison Pugmire is a wife, mother, and Christian counselor. As God has shown her meaning in her own story, she now believes it is her greatest privilege to wholeheartedly participate in helping others understand and embrace their story. God is the author and counselor, but we are each called to intentionally participate in the plot twists and partake in the joy that comes from the relationship of sharing it all together with Him.
