ATTENTION MADISON PEOPLE

If you live in Madison and are registered to vote, I need your help! Tonight is the Madison Medical Cannabis Referendum at the Madison Middle School at 7:00PM. We are trying to preserve the diversity of Medical Cannabis in the town of Madison. So I need you to vote YES on Warrant Article 38!

So this is the low-down. The Maine State Office of Cannabis Policy has told the town of Madison that OCP does not like the wording in the Madison Cannabis ordinance. The Town doesn't feel that they can change the wording to something that OCP will approve of unless it is re-approved by the town during a town meeting. If we do not have enough votes to win the majority of attendees then four of the five current stores in Madison will have to shut down, including Lakewood Cannabis Madison.

What has come to my attention since this referendum has come up and I've tried to coordinate with other stores to defeat it is how diverse the cannabis offerings are in Madison. I hadn't really realized how Madison has become a destination for rural cannabis shoppers who like the variety available here. We service patients from Rome to Hartland and up to Jackman and Stratton! These are people that come to Madison to shop for cannabis who wouldn't otherwise be shopping in Madison at all. Maybe they buy a sandwich at Fonzo's pizza+seafood or gas at Irving or stuff at Reny's.

So please, if you live in Madison or know someone that does, I need your help. Help us keep our businesses. Help us keep people employed. Help us preserve the cannabis diversity found here. Help us keep helping you.
