Meet Nocturne, an energetic, friendly cat with a personality as bold as his name. He is independent, playful, and just a little bit spicy, the kind of cat who keeps you on your toes in the best way. Nocturne loves attention when he is in the mood, and if you respect his vibe, he will reward you with loyalty, fun, and plenty of moments sure to make you smile. As a six-year-old cat, Nocturne knows exactly what he likes and is looking for a calm home where any kids are teens or older. He’s been waiting for his new family for a while, so he’s been made a member of Dane County Humane Society’s Lonely Hearts Club, and his adoption fee has been waived! If you think Nocturne is the cat for you, stop by DCHS’s Adoption Center and say hello—he can’t wait to meet you! True to her name, she has a way of making it feel like summer all year round once her loving personality starts to shine through. She can be a bit shy at first, but give her a little time and you’ll see just how affectionate she is, happily leaning in for pets and attention. Summer would do best with a patient adopter, a home without small children, and thoughtful introductions to other dogs so she can adjust at her own pace. Brittany recently received the most fabulous book, Dog Only Knows (thank you, Mom 💕), filled with stunning paintings of very adorable pups… and naturally, we all fell for the one in glasses.
