While attending the National Funeral Directors Association, our very own J.P. Moore was deeply honored to sing alongside the legendary Mrs. Marguerite Gatling of Gatling’s Chapel, Chicago — a woman whose voice carries the sound of heaven itself.

For decades, Mrs. Gatling has stood faithfully beside her late husband, Mr. Lafayette Gatling Sr., serving thousands of families across Chicago with grace, dignity, and compassion. Together, they built one of the most respected names in funeral service — a true legacy of excellence and care.

A devoted servant of God, Bishop Speights was a pillar of faith, wisdom, and leadership—guiding souls with grace, humility, and an unwavering love for Christ. His ministry touched countless lives and his legacy of service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

We extend our deepest prayers and love to the Speights Family during this sacred time of remembrance. May his life and ministry continue to inspire generations to walk in faith and love.

🕯️ With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Mr. William Spencer Vought, Sr., 67, of Madison, Florida, who peacefully transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

William will be remembered for his warm, gentle smile and his kind, compassionate spirit that touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His presence brought comfort, joy, and love to his family, friends, and community alike.

A man of humility and grace, William’s life was defined by his generosity, wisdom, and steadfast love for others. Today, our J.P. Moore Mortuary & Cremation Services team traveled to Mobile, Alabama, to serve the family of Elder Terry Lamar Price, Sr. It was an honor to stand beside his beloved wife, Lady Madria Price, the Price family, and the Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church family during this sacred time of remembrance.

We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us to care for one of God’s faithful servants. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do—serving with excellence, compassion, and heart.
