Overthinking is the act of dwelling excessively on thoughts, decisions, or situations, often replaying scenarios or analyzing outcomes in a loop. On one hand, it can be helpful by encouraging deeper reflection and more thorough planning. However, when it becomes excessive, overthinking can lead to anxiety and mental exhaustion. It can trap people in cycles of doubt, preventing them from taking action or enjoying the present moment. Being intentional with affirmations can help to strike a balance between being thoughtful and taking action.
