Had to condense 10 minutes into 90 seconds, but this is as authentic as it gets!

Here’s the quick version of how I prep my table for an Abhyanga massage.

Imagine being in your postpartum and getting to rest here while receiving a warm oil, hot stone massage to help with your healing.

Imagine receiving warm meals and beverages after, while you nurse your baby and prepare for a nap.

Imagine being cared for and nourished as much as your baby.

This is how you plan for postpartum so that you can show up as the best version of yourself. So that you can release, decompress, and improve how you heal.

Recently was informed of some donations that would be helpful to the Piedmont Athens NICU staff and families, so i made this wishlist to try and help!

If you know me, you know that their NICU cared for my son Jasper. He was born just before 25 weeks and lived for 20 days. Since then, I’ve become a Doula because of the circumstances that surrounded our care. I have served over 50 families in 4 years and work with my team to help with the resource desert we are in for new families. ESPECIALLY those who navigate NICU and loss as a new parent.

I say all of that to share that I have created an Amazon wishlist of actual NEEDS as well as additional items that would be considered gifts for both nurses and families. I didn’t want to list gift cards because I felt that may be fround upon, so these are all items that could fill what I call a “care cart” for the small room where families can wait or take a break in the NICU bay. There are also things to put in gift bags for the nurses in NICU.

If you have it in your heart to drop off gift cards at the hospital, I know it would be greatly appreciated! Gas and food expenses add up so quickly and really can be so expensive depending on how long a family may be commuting. Not to mention if you come home with baby your buying medical supplies for…. It almost becomes groceries or supplies for some families. It is just SO hard.

Anyways, I hope our community can come together for the families navigating loss & NICU life as new parents. If anyone decides to purchase off of this list, I’ll be building the cart and doing one big drop off after new years in honor of my son’s birthday on the 14th. Thank you to anyone who read this far 💕

When I say we are Doulas who prioritize COMMUNITY over $$ this is what I mean. THIS is what it looks like when you give to your community selflessly and without expectations! That community WILL give back!

A simple, SURPRISE meal drop for a random Facebook friend turned into a sweet mama filling my care closet with SO MANY needed goodies for postpartum moms this year.

Each family we serve is gifted a care package but then there are also times when we see mamas in need outside of who we serve. That’s when there is REAL opportunity to make bigger impact.

God doesn’t just call us to show up to make a living. He calls us to be his hands, his feet, and his voice. This calling is about going outside my 50ft and giving god the glory for making it all possible.

It’s remarkable how we can show up because of how our families give back to us for just simply seeing the need and meeting it without question!

We love y’all and are endlessly grateful 💕
