It's been a while, and I have a lot of new followers on this page recently so I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself and let the newcomers get a feel for who I am and the work that I do!
Hi there! Iโm Alisha Whittemore โ a licensed massage therapist with a warm presence, healing hands, and a serious love for macaroni and cheese (homemade, of course! ๐ง).
I studied massage therapy at Therapeutic Bodywork Learning Center in Brewer, graduating in 2022. Since then, Iโve continued to expand my skills through advanced training in Nerve Glide Techniques (for things like thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatic pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome), and Assessment and Treatment of Shoulder Injuries with Dr. James Malley.
But beyond the training and techniques, massage therapy is deeply personal to me.
I became a massage therapist because I experienced firsthand the powerful emotional and physical healing it brought into my life. I know what it feels like to carry stress, pain, and the weight of the world in your body โ and I also know the incredible relief of finally letting it go. My goal is to be that safe, supportive space for anyone whoโs seeking that same kind of care.
In the treatment room, I bring a gentle, intuitive, and therapeutic approach that blends relaxation with deeper, targeted work. Whether youโre managing pain, looking to de-stress, or just want to feel more at home in your body, I tailor every session to you.
When Iโm not working, youโll find me soaking up my two wonderful children, enjoying time with family, browsing a store or two (I'm mostly a window shopper) or indulging in my favorite comfort foods.
All bodies are welcome on my table โ every shape, size, and story.
Iโm here to support you in feeling your best, however that looks for you.
Have questions? Iโd love to chat โ feel free to reach out anytime. ๐
