Not my typical post, but I wanted to highlight another local business and share my experience from today!

I went to see to SkinbyKaylee for a dermaplaning facial today and it was such a nice experience! Relaxing from start to finish, and I really appreciated how she kept me informed throughout the process so I knew what was happening. My skin feels smooth, hydrated, refreshed, and absolutely glowing now.
If youโ€™ve been thinking about booking a facial, I highly recommend checking her outโ€”youโ€™ll leave feeling just as pampered as I did! ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธโœจ

Go follow her page so you donโ€™t miss out on the amazing services she has to offer.

๐ŸŽ‰ Celebrating ONE Year at Pine & Willow! ๐ŸŽ‰

Itโ€™s hard to believe, but itโ€™s been one year since I met with Celeste and decided to make Pine & Willow the home of my massage therapy business. I had my first day on September 6th, and I am so thankful that what started as me working just one day on the weekends turned into being booked steady enough that, within 3 months, I was able to take the leap and leave my long-time, full-time job to do what my heart and soul was called to do.

I could never have done this without all of YOU who support me and my business. ๐Ÿ’™ So nowโ€ฆ letโ€™s celebrate!

10% off any massage booked during this week.

๐Ÿ’ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ! Every appointment booked in September earns you an entry into my ๐‘จ๐’๐’๐’Š๐’—๐’†๐’“๐’”๐’‚๐’“๐’š ๐‘น๐’‚๐’‡๐’‡๐’๐’† โ€” Iโ€™ll be drawing winners on October 1st for some relaxing prizes (including a FREE massage!).

โ˜€๏ธ Rise & Shine, Saturday People!
Iโ€™ve got a rare 8:00 AM massage opening this Saturday, and itโ€™s calling your name! ๐ŸŽฏ

Start your weekend feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to take on whatever is ahead โ€” or nothing at all. (No judgment.)

Spots like this donโ€™t pop up often, so if your bodyโ€™s been asking for some TLC, nowโ€™s the time. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’†

๐Ÿš— Heads up, friends! ๐Ÿšœ
Fair Week kicks off this Thursday, and that means our little town is about to get a whole lot busier! For the next couple of weeks (especially if you have a weekend appointment), be sure to give yourself a little extra travel time when heading to your appointment โ€” traffic may be heavier than usual.

As a general reminder, arriving about 5 minutes early is always a great idea. It gives you time to use the restroom, settle in, chat with me about what your body needs that day, and get cozy on the table right on time. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks so much โ€” canโ€™t wait to see you soon!

๐ŸŒ€ FAQ: How Often Should I Get a Massage?

The short answer? It depends on youโ€”your body, your lifestyle, and your goals.

Hereโ€™s a quick guide:

๐Ÿ‘‰ For general wellness and stress relief:
A massage once every 4โ€“6 weeks can help keep tension at bay and maintain your overall well-being.

๐Ÿ‘‰ For chronic pain or injury recovery:
You may benefit from more frequent sessionsโ€”weekly or biweeklyโ€”until symptoms improve and we can shift into maintenance mode and bump to the 4-6 week schedule.

๐Ÿ‘‰ For active lifestyles or high physical demands:
Regular sessions (every 2โ€“3 weeks) can support muscle recovery, improve flexibility, and help prevent injuries.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro tip:
If you're dealing with chronic pain but more frequent sessions feel financially out of reach, we can explore shorter, targeted sessions that still provide relief while working within your budget.

Massage is not one-size-fits-allโ€”your care plan should work for your body and your life.

It's been a while, and I have a lot of new followers on this page recently so I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself and let the newcomers get a feel for who I am and the work that I do!

Hi there! Iโ€™m Alisha Whittemore โ€” a licensed massage therapist with a warm presence, healing hands, and a serious love for macaroni and cheese (homemade, of course! ๐Ÿง€).

I studied massage therapy at Therapeutic Bodywork Learning Center in Brewer, graduating in 2022. Since then, Iโ€™ve continued to expand my skills through advanced training in Nerve Glide Techniques (for things like thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatic pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome), and Assessment and Treatment of Shoulder Injuries with Dr. James Malley.

But beyond the training and techniques, massage therapy is deeply personal to me.

I became a massage therapist because I experienced firsthand the powerful emotional and physical healing it brought into my life. I know what it feels like to carry stress, pain, and the weight of the world in your body โ€” and I also know the incredible relief of finally letting it go. My goal is to be that safe, supportive space for anyone whoโ€™s seeking that same kind of care.

In the treatment room, I bring a gentle, intuitive, and therapeutic approach that blends relaxation with deeper, targeted work. Whether youโ€™re managing pain, looking to de-stress, or just want to feel more at home in your body, I tailor every session to you.

When Iโ€™m not working, youโ€™ll find me soaking up my two wonderful children, enjoying time with family, browsing a store or two (I'm mostly a window shopper) or indulging in my favorite comfort foods.

All bodies are welcome on my table โ€” every shape, size, and story.
Iโ€™m here to support you in feeling your best, however that looks for you.

Have questions? Iโ€™d love to chat โ€” feel free to reach out anytime. ๐Ÿ’›

Your body is the only "vehicle" you get for life.
You wouldnโ€™t ignore a check engine light on your carโ€”so why ignore the signs your body is sending you?

Massage therapy is one powerful way to support your body's maintenance and keep it running smoothlyโ€”mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Take care of yourself. Youโ€™re worth it. ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ
