One thing I would recommend to anyone trying to quit is to be reasonable with yourself. Quitting is a very hard thing to do. So don't expect that you can just throw the pack and forget about them. Set realistic goals.

Holiday stressors can pile up quickly for people dealing with to***co, alcohol, or other substances.
Los factores de estrés de las vacaciones pueden acumularse rápidamente para las personas que lidian con el tabaco, el alcohol u otras sustancias.
Here are a few tips to help protect yourself and your goals this holiday/Aquí tiene algunos consejos para ayudarse a protegerse a usted mismo y sus metas en esta día festivo.

1) Make a plan - limit time in stressful situations and around difficult people. Know your triggers ahead of time.
Hacer un plan – limitar el tiempo en situaciones estresantes y con personas difíciles. Conocer sus desencadenantes de antemano.

2) Practice self-care - take deep breaths, go for a walk, be kind to yourself, tell a friend if you need a few minutes away from others.
Practicar el autocuidado – respirar profundamente, dar un paseo, ser amable consigo mismo, decirle a un amigo si necesita unos minutos a solas.

3) Bring non-alcoholic options, ni****ne patches or lozenges, and other tools to get you through tough situations.

4) Get active! Help with chores, cooking, decorating, dancing, or just going for a walk.
