The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Public Health Madison & Dane County have confirmed one measles case in Dane County, the second confirmed case in Wisconsin this year.

💉 Vaccination is the best protection. Two doses of the MMR vaccine are about 97% effective (one dose is about 93% effective). Associated Physicians pediatricians strongly encourage eligible patients to receive their first or second MMR dose.

🩺 Symptoms typically begin 10–12 days after exposure and may include high fever (over 104°F), cough, runny nose, tiredness, red/watery eyes, and a red rash that starts at the hairline and spreads to the arms and legs.
