Eadie Koch, my magic grandmother, died peacefully today, 9/22/2020, holding my hand and my brother Chad Mickelson’s hand, at the Aurora West Allis Medical Center after 10:32 AM, CST. She was one hundred one and four fifths years old, the oldest living magician’s assistant in captivity. She taught me how to canoe and was my canoeing partner in the stern since I was old enough to row in the bow. This 2014 picture was not the last year that we camped and canoed together with our family, nor was it the last time that we vacationed in the Ozarks.
