Member Spotlight 🌟
For the month of February, we would like to recognize one of our members who we believe is making history every day, and demonstrating true excellence in this profession... member Brenda Hayes-Williams.
Brenda Hayes-Williams was born and raised in Rayville, Louisiana. After graduating from high school, she attended Southern University and A&M College at Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology prior to remaining at Southern University to earn a Masters of Education degree in Communication Disorders. After garnering several years of clinical experience in speech language pathology, she created her own private practice, which has grown tremendously to include the provision of speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Over more than 25 years, the practice expanded to cover a number of head start programs and public/private schools throughout the state of Mississippi. She is very involved in community organizations including the Junior League of Jackson, Lefleur’s Bluff Links, and Delta Sigma Theta. She is married to her college sweetheart, Bryman Williams, who is a licensed clinical psychologist. They have three children. Jordan (20) is a junior at Southern University majoring in Animal Science, Bryman, Jr. (18), and Hayes (16) are in high school in Madison.
