# 🦷✨ EXCITING UPDATE TIME! ✨🦷

Hey everyone! We know you've been wondering what's been happening since our little "fire incident" back in February 2024 (because apparently our office thought it needed a REALLY deep clean 😅).

First off, THANK YOU for your incredible patience! We know we've been quieter than usual with updates, and we truly appreciate you sticking with us through this process.

The truth is, this whole process has been like trying to perform a root canal while juggling flaming torches and herding cats - except the cats are insurance adjusters, the torches are permit applications, and somehow we're also managing three kids at home who think cereal counts as a food group.

But here's the AMAZING news - we're SO close to breaking ground! We're in the final stages of budget tweaking (translation: making sure we can still afford coffee for the staff) and coordinating with our contractor and bank. It's been like a very expensive, very slow dance, but we're finally hearing the music!

Check out these sneak peek photos of what our beautiful building will look like! We're keeping all the charm and character you love while upgrading everything behind the scenes to make your visits even more comfortable. Think of it as the same friendly face with a fantastic new smile!

We promise to keep you updated every step of the way because honestly, after this journey, we're going to be as excited as kids on Christmas morning to show off every new detail. Get ready for some serious before-and-after photos coming your way!

Dear Patients,

We wanted to share some exciting news about the renovation of our dental practice! After a lot of hard work and overcoming some design challenges, insurance delays, operational difficulties, etc, we’ve finally achieved an ideal design for our expanded building. We’re now awaiting approval from the town to move forward with permits.

In the meantime, Dr. Vega and Dr. Huijssoon are operating at full capacity at our temporary locations:

Flaherty & Sauls Dentistry in Ruckersville
All Smiles Dental Care in Culpeper

UPDATE!

In the short span of two weeks, we've managed to secure two temporary clinic locations, order supplies and equipment, set up a new network, and successfully treat a full week of patients!

We are currently operating out of two locations: Flaherty and Sauls Dentistry in Ruckersville, and All Smiles Dental Care in Culpeper. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Olan Parr, Dr. Brooke Flaherty, and Dr. Tasha Sauls for graciously sharing their clinic space, equipment, and staff with us during this time of need. Their kindness has been instrumental in allowing us to continue providing care to our patients without interruption.

A special thank you goes out to Gary Hunley, with PJ Networks, for his invaluable assistance in setting up our new network and ensuring that our computers are up and running smoothly.

I am immensely proud of our amazing staff for their unwavering dedication and hard work throughout this transition. They have shown incredible resilience, sacrificing time away from their families and working overtime to ensure that our patients receive the care they deserve. Your commitment and professionalism inspire me every day.

To our patients, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your loyalty and patience during this challenging time. Your understanding and support mean the world to us. Rest assured, we are diligently working on the reconstruction of our office, and I will continue to keep you updated every step of the way.

We are grateful for your patience and support as we've been navigating through a challenging time. Our dental office is currently closed due to a fire, but we have good news to share!

We're excited to announce that we're in the process of coordinating a temporary working location, which will be up and running within the next week. This means we'll be able to resume providing you with the quality dental care you deserve very soon.

Unfortunately, there was a fire at our office this evening, February 14th. Everyone is safe, however our office will be closed until further notice. If you have a scheduled appointment, please be patient with us as we navigate these unforeseen circumstances. For emergent needs, please call the office of Dr.Flaherty and Sauls 434-987-7891. We will continue to update our voicemail and social media as new information becomes available. As always, we appreciate all of your support and patience at this time.

We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Ross Oates to our practice! Call us today to schedule an appointment: 540-948-4488.

Dr. Oates was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky and received a Bachelor of Science in 2008. In 2012, he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Dr. Oates continued his pursuit of education in the two-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He joined a private practice in Andover, Massachusetts before serving as a general dentist in the US Air Force, deploying to Saudi Arabia and enjoying duty stations in Abilene, TX, San Antonio, TX and Destin, FL.

Dr. Oates is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry. He is committed to performing the highest quality dental care and ensuring his patients have a positive experience. He currently resides in Barboursville, Virginia with his wife and two young sons. His interests outside of dentistry include performing music, home-brewing, playing disc golf, climbing and hiking in the beautiful Virginia landscape.
