Congratulations to our very own Shannon DiMarco, we are so proud of her!

Shannon DiMarco, MSHS, CHSOS, was accepted into the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) Academy Fellowship Program – Class of 2026​

Becoming a Fellow for the SSH is a lifelong appointment given to those who have shown significant contributions to the science of simulation and its sustainability both at their home institution and on a global scale. ​

Shannon is one of only a small cohort of people in the world to have this honor and will be inducted with 10 international colleagues at the annual conference this January​.

Today, Class 69 collectively wore pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Established in October of 1985 by the American Cancer Society, this month-long global campaign is intended to increase awareness of the disease, promote early detection through screening and support patients and survivors.

How do you teach a paramedic student to share bad news with a patients family member as you work along side your crew, attend to the patient and navigate your own emotions?

This weeks our students faced this reality as they entered into real life scenarios learning how to communicate with their partner, the patient, medical direction and family. They all did an amazing job.
