Canaan Palestine

Canaan Palestine Our story is of farmers who work the land from dawn to dusk to feed their families and produce amazing food for the world to savor.

Canaan's produces specialty food products made from artisan ingredients sourced from over 2,000 small scale family farms in Palestine organized according to fair trade and ecological principles. We at Canaan recognize this priceless agriculture and commit ourselves to protect it, support it and make it sustainable for these hard-working farmers. We also want to share it with the world to celebrate

the millennia of food traditions and provide viable routes for artisan food products to reach global markets. Canaan works with over 2,000 artisan family farms spanned across 52 different villages. We are engaged year-round with these communities, committed to long term partnerships with fair trade principles that ensure transparency, full direct payment, fair prices and purchase guarantee. Ecological sustainability is at the core of our values. Food security, economic prosperity and cultural integrity all stem from our natural environments well-being. It starts with the health of the soil. Ensuring regenerative agricultural practices to bring reciprocity between people, plants, animals, insects and microorganisms. The Land of Canaan is the home of the olives, birthplace of the first agriculture on Earth. Ancient olive orchards over 3,000 years old are a testimony to the wisdom of the cultural heritage we've carried through millennia. This land is a permaculture filled with age old food species that have shaped the vibrant nutritious cuisine we enjoy seasonally. Canaan was founded on the principles of empowering traditional farming communities. Agriculture is the most significant sector in Palestine and we seek to ensure its viability within the modern economy. We're committed to increase the value returns of such farms, invest in their communities and make them competitive in the marketplace while carving them a space in the modern world.

Transform your ice cream in seconds:

A precise drizzle of Jenin Olive Oil over a pristine scoop of vanilla ice cream elevates the dessert into a nuanced interplay of flavors: the oil’s bright, green and fruity notes with a subtle peppery finish enriches the ice cream’s sweetness, while its silky texture enhances the experience.

Give it a try and taste the difference.

For nearly two decades, the Trees for Life program has supported farmers in planting over 429,000 trees across the West Bank—olives, almonds, grains, and native trees—as part of a broader effort to keep the land farmed, protected, and passed on.

This is regenerative farming at its most grounded, continuing the symbiosis of people and the land here in Palestine.

You can take part in this work by planting a tree in Palestine—standing with a farming system rooted in knowledge, care, and continuity.

This is Anin village in the spring. A landscape full of wildflowers, soft hills, olive trees, and beauty that runs deep. But in the background, Israel’s wall cuts through it all—quiet, obstructive, and heavy.

Over 90 farmers in this village are part of Canaan’s producer network. Many of them have ancient olive trees—trees they grew up with and cared for. Trees that now require permits—or taking risks—to access.

In one frame: nature in full bloom, and the barriers that try to contain it.
Yet farmers keep planting, keep tending, keep returning to the land in every way they still can.

Farmers’ pursuit is part and parcel of nature itself. That is regenerative.

Rumi trees have existed in Palestine for millennia, with some trees over 2,000 years old. With their distinctively thick and gnarled trunks dotting the landscape— extensively spaced with wild flora in between, and juxtaposed against rolling fields of wheat—Rumi trees are impossible to overlook. They are a beautiful representation of the people and the land of Palestine.
