Samuel Trump, MD, assistant professor, General Internal Medicine, has been appointed as medical director of the student-run MEDiC Southside Clinic on Madison's South Park Street. Dr. Trump will serve as mentor and advisor to the students on the clinic's team and will oversee the care the clinic provides each Saturday. Congrats, Dr. Trump!

Mark Reichelderfer, MD, professor, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is set to retire later this month—after over 40 years with the Department of Medicine, where he's made tremendous contributions to his division's growth, to medical education, and to the lives of his patients. In retirement, he looks forward to spending time with his grandchildren. Congratulations, Dr. Reichelderfer!

This year's SMPH Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) student mixer was a popular success, with over 20 DOM faculty and 50 medical students participating! The mixer gives medical students an opportunity to learn more about internal medicine subspecialties and the department's residency and fellowship programs.
