These $1500 awards provide support for MERI trainees and MERI staff scientists to present at and attend conferences in their field. The awards are given out twice annually; once each Fall semester, and once each Spring semester.

The McPherson ERI is proud to support 's participation in the 2025 PEOPLE (Precollege Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence) summer program! This wonderful program allows Neuroscience Training Program graduate students to teach high schoolers about science and research, and to inspire the next generation of scientists (including vision scientists).
