Episode 6 took me a few extra weeks to release. Picture a songbird perched inside an open cage—the door’s wide, but she’s afraid to step out, worried her wings will be clipped the moment she tries to sing. That’s been me: voice trembling, freedom so close, fear whispering “stay.”

Then I remembered why Xpose H.E.R. exists: healing, exploration, restoration.

So I’m flying anyway, and this episode is part of my freedom song.

But Sis, you’re still coloring. Even if your strokes feel shaky. Even if the page looks different now. You are remembering who you are—one line, one prayer, one tear, one truth at a time.

It’s okay if healing feels messy. It’s okay if your anger talks to God before your worship does. That’s still intimacy. That’s still connection. That’s you showing up, you choosing to feel again, to speak again, to heal.

About

Uncertain, unplanned and unwanted experiences often produce feelings of abandonment, guilt, self-consciousness, and loneliness. We often feel tarnished, cheated and robbed. However, the secret lies in you, I am simply here to help you unveil it. As a therapist, I specialize in challenging you to begin the journey of becoming the best you. I am a compassionate but direct therapist providing a safe environment for women seeking support with sexual abuse and assault, depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem and emotional regulation.

At Journey to New Beginnings, we help you develop skills that will increase your self-awareness, self-love, and self-acceptance; which will allow for you to create healthy beliefs about yourself, your relationships, your choices, your life and your future.

My goal in counseling is to empower and inspire adolescents and adults to recognize the power the lies within them on their Journey to new beginnings. In addition to counseling, I provide supervision to aspiring social workers, working towards their Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work status.
