For the first time, Good Grief and Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss co-facilitated a grief training for a school district, and we couldn’t be more proud of what’s to come.
Our very own Annette Mendez, Curriculum & Training Manager at Good Grief, joined forces with Veronica Ortiz, Director of Education at Imagine, to train health and physical education staff in Morris Schools on grief and loss in alignment with New Jersey’s new grief education mandate.
This district will also be one of the first to pilot our collaborative grief curriculum for students in grades 8–12 — developed by the NJ Grief Collaborative, a partnership between Good Grief, Imagine, The Alcove, and Common Ground.
This training represents a huge step forward in how we equip educators to support grieving students and how organizations can come together to make sustainable change.
Because no one should have to navigate grief alone.
