Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology welcomes board certified dermatologist, Nitin Tiwari, MD, FAAD, to our growing practice. Dr Tiwari is an exceptional hire that will strengthen our experience and knowledge. We are VERY fortunate to have him join the team!

Dr. Nitin Tiwari is a board-certified and licensed dermatologist in Alabama and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He was born in Durham, North Carolina and raised in Fairfax, Virginia.
Dr. Tiwari graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Major in Statistics and a Minor in Chemistry. He earned his Medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 2016, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Following his training, Dr. Tiwari spent four years providing dermatology care in rural Ohio before practicing in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Tiwari is trained in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology. His special interests include the management of skin cancer detection, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, cyst removal, and complex medical dermatology. He has been published in numerous academic journals, co-authored multiple book chapters, and presented his work at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tiwari stays engaged with a variety of creative and professional pursuits. He previously founded a medical shadowing company and enjoys writing children’s literature, including a whimsical tale about a vampire bat allergic to blood. A passionate hockey fan, he closely follows the Washington Capitals. He is eager to become an active member of the Huntsville community and looks forward to establishing roots in the area.
