Dear friends, in response to your questions, we wanted to bring you up to date on the status of our CHADD group for Madison area adults with ADHD. The group is ongoing, but is temporarily on hiatus. There have been some leadership changes due to an unexpected death in the family of one leadership team member and some changing personal circumstances for other team members. We would welcome additional volunteer support! Below is an email which was sent last month to our members:
Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry to let you know that CHADD will be going on hiatus temporarily while I work on some logistics for the group's future sessions.
We are currently in need of one or more meeting facilitators! It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with other ADHD folks, and is comfortable with talking as well as listening. This is about a 2-3 hour per month commitment for our meetings, and an occasional get together with other team members to plan or coordinate programs. Topic ideas, handouts and general guidelines can be provided, although suggestions are always welcome. And if someone wanted to assume a programming role (suggesting or researching topics, guest speakers, or handouts), that would also be great! Mentoring is available, if desired! And if you wanted to do this on an occasional basis or try this out before making a formal decision, there is that flexibility as well.
I hope that there are group members who would be willing to play a small (or large) part in this! If you (or someone you know) are interested, please contact me at my personal email, since I am able to check it more frequently than the organization's gmail account.
Thanks for considering this!

NOTE: Because member confidentiality is important to us, we are not publicly posting the name and personal email address of the team member who sent the above email. If you are interested in exploring volunteer opportunities, please send a private message to this page and it will be forwarded to the team. We would love to hear from you! Also, if you have not been receiving our monthly meeting announcements and would like to be added to our confidential email list, please send your name and email address via private message to this page.
Dedicated volunteers have enabled this CHADD group to be an important source of encouragement and support for many Madison area adults with ADHD, and with your help we can continue to thrive and grow!
