Get to Know Your Provider: Dr. Erin Schoenecker, MD

Dr. Schoenecker has been working at MWH for 14 years. She works exclusively nights at the hospital and feels blessed to be apart of all of your lives at such an important moment.

When she isn’t working Dr. Schoenecker spends her time with her five kids, raises service dogs, and volunteers with her therapy dog, Bailey. She also enjoys coaching youth basketball and running.

On Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell’s birthday we celebrate the immense contributions women physicians make to the medical world. MWH is proud to have an all-women provider team and celebrates their work today and every day. Today, we also acknowledge the gender inequities that exist in the medical community and the work that is being done to right them.

Shannon Wixom is a board certified Nurse Practitioner who has been caring for patients at MWH for 5 years! Her areas of special interest include preventive health, pregnancy, lactation, reproductive health care, perimenopause, and mental health. She most enjoys helping women feel their best.

When she’s not in the clinic, Shannon stays busy being a mom to two teenagers, watching their activities, going to sporting events, walking her dog Rocky, and traveling to Disney!
