💙 September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 💙
Ovarian cancer is often called the “silent killer” because its symptoms are easy to miss and there is no routine screening test. That’s why awareness matters.
🔹 Know the Symptoms
Persistent bloating or abdominal swelling
Pelvic or abdominal pain
Trouble eating or feeling full quickly
Urgent or frequent urination
Fatigue, back pain, or changes in bowel habits
These symptoms can be caused by many things, but when they’re new, persistent, or unusual for you—it’s important to talk to your healthcare provider.
🔹 Know the Risk Factors
Family history of ovarian or breast cancer
BRCA1 or BRCA2 genetic mutations
Age (most common after menopause)
Endometriosis or infertility history
🔹 Why Awareness Matters
When ovarian cancer is found early, treatment is most effective. Spreading awareness helps save lives by encouraging early recognition and ongoing research.
💙 This month, let’s stand with survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and push forward for more research and better outcomes.
📣 Please share this post—together we can spread knowledge and hope.
