February 18 | Breast Density Awareness Day 🩷
Did you know that between 40-50% of women have dense breasts—and most are never told what that means?
Dense breast tissue:
• Can hide cancer on mammograms
• Is an independent risk factor for breast cancer
• Often requires supplemental imaging for accurate detection
Knowing your breast density is not extra information—it’s critical information. Awareness leads to questions. Questions lead to appropriate screening. And appropriate screening saves lives.
Ask your provider:
✔️ Do I have dense breasts?
✔️ What does that mean for my cancer risk?
✔️ Do I need additional imaging beyond a mammogram?
Education is empowerment. Awareness is advocacy.
Let’s keep pushing for transparency, access, and early detection—for every woman.
