We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our therapy team! Alaina Poole (SLP) is joining our team at Madison Speech and we can’t wait for you to meet her. 🗣️

Alaina is licensed by ABESPA & ASHA and has special interests in treating social communication, articulation, language, fluency, & AAC.

M E E T A L A I N A:

“Hi, I’m Alaina Poole! I grew up in Tupelo, MS, but have been in Austin, TX, for the past 3 years. My husband Skyler and I recently relocated to Madison with our pets Roe, Zeus, & Nelly. We are so excited to be back in the south!

🏈🍔 My husband and I both graduated from Ole Miss and love cheering on the Rebels- I should know more about football than I do, but I’m definitely more passionate about the tailgate food and outfits.

🪑🖼️ A fun fact about me is I love antiquing any chance that I get and plan my vacations around where the best antique stores are.

🩷 In my free time, you can find me doing pilates, going for walks, doing needlepoint, or at Chick-fil-A.

I’m so excited to be joining Madison Speech and am looking forward to working with you and your family!”

If you are in the Huntsville area, join us on Thursday, Oct. 23, for our Children’s Rehabilitation Service (CRS) Fall Festival. There will be a trunk or treat, face painting, food, music, games, and resources! These events provide an opportunity for families to network with each other and discover more about how CRS is one part of ADRS’s continuum of care. We look forward to seeing you there!

Today we welcomed Taylor Moorer (SLP) back with open arms following her recent maternity leave. 👶🏻 Thank you to Taylor’s patients who so kindly allowed her this precious time at home with her little one while she took in all the firsts of becoming a new mom.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back in office and we know you all share in that same excitement! She continues to lead our Athens clinic with excellence and we are so happy she’s back. 💛

One of our clinic families threw their son a speech graduation party this weekend and we couldn’t help but share some pictures!📸 This is truly what it’s all about. 😏

This is every SLP’s dream to have a family who is SO invested in their child’s hard work..through the grind and onward to the (much-deserved) celebration! 🎉

Parents, your involvement is such a big part of your child’s therapy journey. We are all on a team together with a common goal! ♥️

For a child with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), the road to success is marked by a lot of hard work by the child and consistent carryover by the family. For those who have navigated CAS with their little one, you know how tricky articulating even the smallest of words can be. Progress is often slow and steady, but CAN be made, when utilizing an appropriate treatment approach by a trained SLP.
