One thing I wish more people understood is healthy eating and aging well isn’t about restrictive diets or a number on the scale. It’s about how you feel – physically, mentally, emotionally.

When my clients start eating in a way that actually nourishes them, the first thing they notice is their energy. They aren’t feeling like they're fighting their body anymore.

Have you ever been told to cut carbs? 🤨

But carbs aren’t the enemy. You need carbs for energy. The problem comes with eating TOO MANY refined carbs.

Refined carbs can cause our blood sugar to spike, leading to that infamous energy crash in the afternoon.

The key to preventing this is balancing carb intake with proteins, fats, and complex carbs (think vegetables, beans, sweet potatoes, brown rice). This helps stabilize blood sugar and prevent sudden spikes.

So, the next time you reach for a delicious pastry, grab a source of protein, like a boiled egg, to help prevent a sugar spike. 💜

If you are on a GLP-1 and are struggling with what eat, when to eat, and how to eat. You are not alone. It can be difficult and confusing with all the noise surrounded around weight loss meds. We all have our own opinions concerning weight loss meds. But the truth of the matter is this– food is needed for life. Hunger and fullness cues can be diminished. When that happens people can find themselves in the “no man’s land” unhappy, and malnourished. Eating is essential, learning how while on meds is crucial.
