Feist is excited to host our annual open house on March 30th from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Staff will be giving a tour of the facilities and office space and will be available to answer any questions regarding our programming. We will also tour the Brennan apartments, who we are proud to partner with to offer our unique independent living supports. We will also share information regarding our wide array of programming and supports that we offer, including:

-Day Program
-Turning Point Madison/ Transition Academy
-Skill based classes (cooking, fitness, art, mindfulness, etc.)
-Community based social events
-Supportive Home Care / Independent Living
-Health and Wellness / Individual Fitness Classes
-Vocational Services

Finding the right job match can be life changing for individuals with disabilities, according to Kimberly Nonn, the founder of Feist Vocational Counseling and Placement, LLC, but it can be just as rewarding for the employer.

Feist helps clients build a variety of skills that prepare them for employment and independent living, and Nonn said the clients who go through her company’s programs are “excited to work.”

“That’s their world,” she said. “And I love helping them be successful at their work sites.”

As she reflected on a career advocating for individuals with disabilities, Nonn said persistence and collaboration are crucial to establishing a more inclusive, successful community — within and beyond the workplace.
