That’s a wrap, folks! Thank you to all who joined us for our final get together of the “season.” Thank you to our event sponsor & industry partner, Stryker. Our highest attendance for a Madison AORN meeting in recent history. I’m sorry we didn’t catch all the attendees in this photo but it was wonderful to see everyone! So many of our local ORs were represented tonight! Congratulations to incoming Madame President Sarah Hansen, Secretary Breanna Holland, President Elect Stephanie Barman, & Treasurer TBD. Hello AORN Chapter #5003 Nurses!

Nurses Week officially kicks off in a couple days, and according to the ANA website, this year’s theme is “The Power of Nurses”. Beyond our favorite Perioperative world, Nurses Week is a chance to recognize the incredible strength, honor, and impact Nurses make every single day. We hope your workplaces will have some amazing celebrations for you!

As far as AORN and our local Chapter have been concerned, we’ve had two incredible conferences to kick this year off.

---> In February we partnered with WISPAN and hosted a day-long conference. Seven speakers from our surrounding hospitals spoke on procedures, leadership, and upcoming technology – attendees were able to clock an awesome 7 CEU’s for attendance! We also had six vendors share products from smoke evacuation to positioning to the latest on breast technology.

---> Just last month, Boston hosted the annual AORN conference themed “Together We Rise” and boy – it did not disappoint! From the amazing key-note speakers, top-notch break-out sessions, poster evaluations, and everyone’s favorite Expo – there was hardly a minute to catch your breath!

So now that you’re caught up – you may be wondering what’s next? This coming Wednesday we are scheduled to meet back up in person.

Where: The Memorial Union (rain option Der Rathskallar)
