Shockwaves are high-energy sound waves. Shockwaves have been used since 1980 to break up kidney stones. In modern pain therapy, low-energy shockwaves are applied to painful body regions to accelerate the healing process, improve blood circulation and fully heal damaged tissue.

Many years of experience have confirmed that injuries to tendons, ligaments, joint capsules, and muscles can be healed with this approach.

Shockwaves are delivered to the treatment area using a wand. Each therapy session takes between 10 and 30 minutes depending on the issue being treated.
