We had a dill-lightful time celebrating
“National Pickle Day”! After 3 rounds of “Pass the Pickle,” (congrats Marian and Mrs. Lou won 2 rounds), winning “emotional support” sensory pickles and the coveted bingo coupons. Residents and staff got a huge laugh out of finding what their “pickle name” is. We wrapped up the day with crispy pickle fries(courtesy of our Dietary Manager Anna) and a couple brave ladies, Mrs. Elsie and Mary, sampled the pickle popsicles. It was a fun, laughter-filled day for residents and staff. We’ve enjoyed this day to the fullest. Happy National Pickle Day!!!

We’ve eaten a few snacks today, but don’t worry, we’re keeping up with our exercise program. In addition, to celebrating our Pickle Day, we’ve done strength training, bingo and leg strengthening class.

Another mile in for the Wednesday Walking Club, then onto strengthening class. Thanks, Shannon and Brittany with CenterWell Home Health, for leading our monthly blood pressure clinic. Today, we gathered for a heartfelt and emotional Veterans Day program honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. With the support of presenters from the American Legion, we shared stories, gratitude, and reflection on the true meaning of service and sacrifice.

Each Veteran in attendance received a custom wooden flag and handcrafted with care—as a symbol of our respect and appreciation. It was a moving day filled with pride, gratitude, and love for those who have given so much to protect our freedom.

Thank you, to the American Legion for joining us this morning, Tim Gray with TG Woodworks for making our beautiful custom flags and Shannon with CenterWell for the beautiful pins and cards for all our Veterans.

We invite everyone to join in with us in honoring our wonderful Veterans here at The Paragon. Please feel free to post your Veteran, so we can honor them as well. It is because of their bravery and millions of others, we have the freedom we have.
Happy Veteran’s Day to all and we extend a heartfelt thank you to their families who have had their own sacrifice.

We’ve had a wonderful weekend, here at The Paragon and we have many people to thank for that. Thank you, Pat, for bringing baby Reuben and Laven for a visit. Thanks, to Alan Harvey, Colby and Leeanna for bringing service and worship to us this afternoon. Of course, no weekend would be complete without our ice cream sundaes. Resident led Snack Bingo with Roger and we’ll end our evening with our Sunday night, Faith-based movie “Do You Believe”. Happy Sunday!
