The joy, creativity, and connection shared during this activity were truly heartwarming. From painting to assembling, it was a beautiful blend of generations coming together to create something meaningful — and fun!

I’m so proud to serve as the Administrator here at Riverwood Healthcare. With a background in health administration and 12 years of experience in long-term care, my heart has always been in creating a space where residents feel safe, respected, and truly at home.

Every day, I get to work alongside an incredible team of caregivers who go above and beyond to make a difference. Whether it’s through a kind word, a comforting routine, or a moment of laughter, I believe it’s the small things that add up to exceptional care.

I’m passionate about building relationships—with our residents, their families, and our amazing staff. At Riverwood, we’re not just providing care—we’re creating a community where people feel seen, supported, and loved.

When I’m not at the facility, you can usually find me enjoying the outdoors or spending time with my family in the Hill Country.

Meet the Team - Social Work Spotlight!

Hi everyone, I am Leslie Gallegos! I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker with a soft spot for seniors, their families, and helping to navigate life’s transitions. I recently earned my Master’s in Psychology with a focus in Geropsychology—ready to dive deeper into grief and healing. I have experience in a variety of environments, but long-term care will always have my heart. I have been in long-term care for a little over three years, and half of that here at Riverwood! A fun fact about me, I am definitely well rounded! I’m an 80’s metal head at heart, with a new found love for NASCAR . I am a cat lover , and faith-driven, relying on my faith to guide me through life’s journey.

🎄☀️ Christmas in July was a HIT! ☀️🎄

Riverwood Healthcare had an absolute blast celebrating Christmas in July in Downtown Caldwell! From ice cream and games to live music and a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus, it was a night full of fun, sunshine, and holiday cheer. 🎅🏼🍦🎶

Big thanks to everyone who made this event so special — especially the Burleson County Chamber of Commerce, the Aaron Ball Band, and all the amazing vendors and volunteers who brought the Christmas spirit to the square in the middle of July!

We’re already counting down to the next one! 🎁🎉

🎉 BINGO FUN at the Rockdale Senior Center! 🎉

Burleson Manor & Riverwood Healthcare teamed up this Tuesday to sponsor a fantastic morning of BINGO at the Rockdale Senior Center and it was a blast! 💚💙💚

We brought along donuts 🍩, plenty of bingo prizes 🎁, and most importantly, smiles and laughter to share with our friends in Rockdale.

We love connecting with our local seniors and creating moments of fun, friendship, and a little friendly competition! 😉
