Austin Tarkington, Director of Advancement for Madisonville Community College, and Michelle Mullen, CEO for ContinueCARE Hospital at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville, met today to set up two $2500 annual nursing scholarships. The scholarship will be named, “The ContinueCARE Pathway to Nursing Scholarship.” Unlike many nursing scholarships which require the recipient to be accepted into a nursing program to be eligible, these scholarships allow any student obtaining nursing prerequisites to apply. The criteria for a recipient to be considered is that they must have selected nursing as their desired program and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
